  • Aadhar Number: The Aadhar number of the proprietor, managing partner, or authorized signatory is mandatory for MSME registration. It should also be linked to a mobile number for the OTP-based registration process.

  • PAN Number: Holding a Permanent Account Number (PAN) is indispensable for MSME registration. PAN is used for verifying turnover and plant & machinery details during the registration process.

  • Other Details: Basic information, such as the address details of the plant/unit and registered office, bank account details, number of employees/staffs, and NIC codes, will be requisites during the registration process.

Notably, MSME registration exclusively mandates the Aadhar number and PAN number; no supplementary documents are needed for a seamless registration experience.

  1. Visit the Udyam Registration Portal: The official Udyam Registration portal is your entry point. Access it at https://udyamregistration.gov.in.

  2. Fill in the Basic Information: Furnish the necessary details, including the Aadhar number, PAN number, address particulars of the plant/unit and registered office, bank account details, and the number of employees/staffs.

  3. Submit the Application: Once you've populated all the essential information fields, submit the application through the Udyam Registration portal.

  4. Verification Process: The data submitted in the application undergoes online scrutiny, primarily through the PAN number. In some cases, additional documents may be requested to bolster the verification process.

For Existing Enterprises:

  • If you're registered under EM-Part-II or UAM, it's time to re-register on the Udyam portal from July 1, 2020.

  • All enterprises registered before June 30, 2020, will be reclassified accordingly.

  • Existing registrations before June 30, 2020, are valid until December 31, 2021.
